MILE OAK BUSES

Whilst the bus shown below has another route destination board, a bus similar to this with the open staircase was occasionally  used as a school bus from Southern Cross to Mile Oak.  Many may recall the buses painted grey (they were repainted during the war) and also the plunger type bell push.

Whilst not directly related to Mile Oak this is a scene many will remember as they travelled either to or from the Old Steine.  This is a picture of North Street, Brighton in March 1961.
